We are looking for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to take on the challenge of managing the Pharmacy Dispensary at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. If you're ready to make an impact in a dynamic and innovative healthcare environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
About the Role
As a key member of the Medicines Supply Chain team, you will:
- Lead and manage the pharmacy dispensary team, ensuring staff are trained, competent, and supported in their roles.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and maintain compliance.
- Monitor and exceed key performance indicators, ensuring the best use of resources.
- Enhance service delivery by engaging with service users and adapting the dispensing service to meet their needs.
- Drive innovation by supporting an exciting program of improvements in Medicines Optimisation and Efficient Medicines Supply Systems.
- Reduce medicines waste, cut costs, increase efficiency, and improve the service experience for both patients and staff.

Applications are welcomed from Pharmacy Technicians registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) who hold a recognised final accuracy checking qualification and the HNC Pharmacy Services Development and Management qualification*, or equivalent.

Hours of work are 37 per week. Flexible working arrangements and part-time hours will be considered. The post may be offered as a secondment opportunity for 12 months; prior written approval must be sought from your line manager if applying for a secondment to this post, and you will be required to bring this if shortlisted for interview.
The post holder will be required to contribute to extended hours, weekend and public holiday rotas as per service requirements.
