An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Speech and Language Therapist to work within the Children’s Speech and Language Therapy team in Forth Valley.

The Speech and Language Therapy team in Forth Valley is known nationally for their sector leading work and has recently undergone a transformational change in order to further improve outcomes of children in young people, particularly those living in poverty.

The team works in partnership with the three local authorities, health colleagues and parents / carers delivering quality services across Universal, Targeted and Individualised levels. The successful candidate will work in partnership with parents and education staff to reduce the impact of speech, language and communication difficulties on a child’s wellbeing. This will include supporting children with communication needs, delivering training, developing the communication environment, modeling and coaching for parents and education staff in a range of interventions and approaches.

This role will require the successful candidate to deliver innovative universal, targeted and individualised approaches within educational placements. You will receive a high level of professional support, leadership, clinical supervision and training and development from our highly skilled and talented staff within Forth Valley.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
