The Role
- To work as a Nurse Practitioner, as part multi-disciplinary healthcare team within the FNC+
- To work as a Band 6 Nurse Practitioner to clinically assess & review patients via telephone or video consultation. (This may include patient referrals from GPs, SAS, NHS 24, Carehomes, Prisons, assessing and prescribing via PGD, formulate appropriate management plans including direction of care or escalate as appropriate to more senior clinicians).
- Liaise with staff in service
- Report to FNC+ management team as appropriate and partake in working groups to improve patient care
- Quarterly rotation to other services to maintain clinical skills and competence
- Car Driver essential
Additional Information Specific to the Role
- Rotational shift pattern, 24/7
- Ability to formulate clinical management plan within scope of practice, or escalate as appropriate.
- Clinical Assessment level 10 (or equivalent) is essential, (but study time will be supported for staff who currently do not possess this at present, but commitment to study and complete must be agreed to at interview, full time hours essential for duration of study)

What we'll need you to bring
- Registered Nurse with current revalidation and NMC Registration.
- Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level.
- Graduate Certificate in Urgent Care or Equivalent
- Mints Major / Minor Injury practitioner / or Emergency Nurse Practitioner qualification
- Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of Minor injuries.
- Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with this speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within this speciality / area of practice
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
