An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist to join our Community Mental Health Teams. This post will be based at Community Mental Health Team West at Wedderburn House but may be required to move to other areas of our community-based services depending upon future changes and service developments.


As an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will provide specialised interventions in both individual and group settings. The selected individual will receive comprehensive support from our dedicated and experienced team of Mental Health Specialist Occupational Therapists, fostering the development of clinical skills and professional practice. This post provides the opportunity to collaborate closely with a diverse range of professionals, including Psychiatry, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Peer Support, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Dietetics. Collaborative engagement with partners from local voluntary sectors, advocacy services, employment services, and care provider agencies will further enrich your daily practice.


Candidates must be currently registered with the HCPC and have obtained a diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy. Our commitment to individual supervision and continuing professional development will support you in this specialist role.

Hours of work are: 9am-5pm Monday – Friday however there is an aspiration for community services to be 7 days per week which all post holders would be required to participate in.
