An exciting opportunity has arisen for a General Manager for Urgent and Unscheduled Care at Borders General Hospital. The postholder will provide compassionate and values-based leadership to deliver safe, high quality, accessible and effective care for patients and local communities. The General Manager will also provide significant leadership and be accountable for the delivery of our exciting new system-wide urgent care improvement plan.
Borders General Hospital (BGH) is part of NHS Borders located in a beautiful part of Scotland and close to the idyllic town of Melrose. BGH is a great place to work where people put people first, and we all recognise the significant and positive impact we have on the health and wellbeing of our local communities. NHS Borders is currently co-producing with partners a new 5-year strategy which will significantly shift the way in which we deliver care in future, and the General Manager will play a significant and important role in the journey.
