Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Pharmacist - Digital Health and Electronic Prescribing based at University Hospital Crosshouse.
This a 1 year, fixed-term temporary post to cover maternity leave.
What you will do:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced pharmacist to participate in the provision of high quality pharmaceutical services within the digital health and electronic prescribing team of NHS Ayrshire & Arran.
You will be responsible for delivering a highly specialised pharmacy service to maintain, support, test and development all aspects of pharmacy digital systems.
As the first health board to fully implement HEPMA for inpatient prescribing and with long experience of producing valuable clinical tools, we are looking for a candidate who has good knowledge of digital systems, an eagerness to learn new skills, and be involved in pieces of digital work that benefit staff and the patients we care for.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
This post involves the multidisciplinary team therefore you must possess the relevant hospital experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team.
NHS Ayrshire & Arran benefits from automated dispensing and electronic prescribing (HEPMA and CEPAS). You should possess a desire to drive forward and actively contribute to the transformation of Clinical Pharmacy Services within Ayrshire & Arran. We support the development of our staff and applicants not currently holding a practice prescribing certificate will be supported to complete this.

Hours:
22.2 hours per week.
Applications from candidates wishing to work flexibly or part-time are welcomed.
You will participate in weekend, public holiday and extended hours rotas as required. In accordance with AFC terms and conditions you may be required to work over 7 days and or an extended working day. The post has an area-wide remit therefore travel to other hospital sites is required
Please note: This post may be suitable as a secondment opportunity. Please discuss with your line manager and refer to your health board policy before submitting an application, should you wish to request this as a secondment post.
Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
A car licence/car ownership is essential to this role.
