This is a fixed term position of 9 months

The shift pattern for this position is 5 over 7 days, including weekends and Public Holidays. 7.5 hour shifts between the hours of 08.30 – 21.30.

This is a 9 month secondment opportunity for an experienced Health Care Support Worker to continue to develop their skills and competencies providing care to people in the community setting. The post holder will support the District Nursing team in delivering care to patients within Renfrewshire HSCP, providing accessible, appropriate, high quality, culturally sensitive and effective nursing service to adults living in the community, by working in partnership with service users, care providers and other agencies.

The post holder will work collaboratively with the District Nursing Teams and assist in the implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for patients and their careers, under the supervision of the District Nurse or their deputy. They will contribute to health improvement initiatives to individuals and families on the caseload and to the wider community.

The post holder will be supported by the District Nursing Team to work towards completion of local competency framework and Mandatory Induction Standards for new Healthcare Support Workers (HCSWs) Workbook if they have not already completed.

The post covers a large geographical areas supporting patients in their home environment. The post holder is required to work flexibly across this geographical area and District Nursing Teams.
