The shift pattern for this position is Mon-Fri 9-5.

(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Orthoptist to join the Orthoptic Clyde team as a Band 7 Highly Specialist Orthoptist on a permanent basis.

This is a part-time post for 29.7 hours per week based at the RAH in Paisley, the role is responsible for covering Renfrewshire / Inverclyde / VOL and Argyll & Bute area. The post holder may be required to travel to these areas for clinics and may include overnight stays.

The post holder will be responsible for the provision of highly specialist Orthoptic assessment and treatment in an autonomous role. The post holder will work at a highly specialist level with their own specialist caseload, acting as a source of expertise to Orthoptic staff and the wider multi-disciplinary team.

The post holder will have experience of working with stroke patients, motility patients, general paediatric patients and with students.

The post holder will assist the Head Orthoptist in areas of management, professional leadership and governance of the Orthoptic service. This includes safe and effective day to day operational management and clinical delivery of services in acute and community settings.
