NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

An exciting opportunity exists for an individual to join a dynamic and enthusiastic nursing team within the NHS Tayside Hospital at Night (HAN) Service.

Using advanced clinical knowledge and skills, our Advanced Nurse Practitioners work effectively as senior members of the Hospital at Night service to deliver high quality and clinically effective person centred care.

You should be a registered nurse who brings with them a broad range of knowledge and skills and extensive experience from across a number of specialties. Applicants should understand and have demonstrable knowledge of the demands of working within an acute environment.

The successful delivery of safe, effective and efficient person centred care relies on our Advanced Nurse Practitioners having transformational leadership qualities, being resilient, being flexible to change, working closely as part of a multidisciplinary team and valuing all members of the Hospital at Night service.

Individuals who meet the full requirements of an Advanced Nurse Practitioner will commence on Band 7. Applicants who are interested in following the Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner pathway will commence Band 6/7 Annex 21 Para 2 (i). On successful completion of academic and clinical requirements and attainment of PG Diploma in Advanced practice you will be transferred to full Band 7 banding.
