Could you work as part of a multi-disciplinary team committed to improving the health of people living in Dundee?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Specialist Community Dietitian to join one of our dynamic and friendly Tayside teams. The posts offer an excellent opportunity to deliver a wide range of community based nutritional care with an emphasis on nutrition support, including tube feeding in community settings including GP practices, patients’ homes and care homes. A strong focus on high quality multidisciplinary integrated working is fundamental to the Teams success. The successful candidates will be expected to work closely with other health and care colleagues, taking a pro-active approach to the clinical care of patients, service improvement and pathway development.
The post holder will also be responsible for the supervision of Dietetic Support Workers and/or a Band 5 Rotational Dietitian. Excellent team working and communication skills are therefore essential in this role, as is the ability to work independently.
The Tayside Nutrition & Dietetic Service promotes collaborative working across all our teams. This enables and encourages the development and implementation of pathways, standards and innovative practice. It also allows for extensive peer support and opportunities for professional development. We are committed to the training of dietetic students, medical students and other healthcare professionals.
You must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
