MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST


Vacancy – Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays-8am to 6pm

Alford Medical Group currently has a vacancy for a friendly, helpful and motivated Medical Receptionist to work as part of our team.

Must have experience with GP software- Vision, Docman and Excel.

Some flexibility in hours of work is required as different or additional hours may be required, by mutual agreement, to cover holiday/illness.

The Duties

  • Dealing with patient appointments - both at reception and on the phone
  • Registering and maintaining patient records
  • Dealing with patient queries (including requests for prescriptions, test results and general information)
  • Using software (Vision, Docman, SCI, Word, Excel etc)
  • General administration
  • Any other duties which you may be asked to complete from time to time

Person - You

  • Communicate well with others – both patients and your colleagues
  • Respond quickly, efficiently and helpfully to all enquiries and requests
  • Take care when completing tasks to make sure that your work is accurate
  • Deal with and adapt to changing demands and priorities
  • Help and support all colleagues
  • Listen to others, ask the right questions and understand what you are being asked to do - asking for help when you need it.
  • Deal well with difficult situations
  • Maintain confidentiality

Salary is dependent on experience -. You will be eligible for membership of the NHS pension scheme.
