Angus Community Mental Health Service

Healthcare Assistant – Band 3 (1post)

South Angus – Bruce House

Full time permanent post


We have an exciting opportunity in the South Angus Community Mental Health Team for a Healthcare Assistant to join us. The successful candidate will work alongside the wider multidisciplinary team with the shared goal of delivering the highest standard of person centred recovery-focused care, supporting service users to maintain wellness in the local community with the support of a well established multi disciplinary team.


The post is based within Bruce House, Arbroath and will focus on delivering care and treatment prescribed by the multidisciplinary team, to service users with a range of mental health needs.


This post is part of an Integrated Community Mental Health Service which forms part of the Angus Health and Social Care Partnership.


Applicants will have experience of working in a caring role within a health/social care setting and in the provision of high quality care to service users. They will be committed to the maintenance of a positive working environment.


The successful candidates will receive a robust induction programme alongside ongoing clinical and managerial supervision. Your professional development will be supported through external and internal training opportunities.

You must be able to demonstrate relevant attainment level at SVQ II/ HNC in health and social care, or equivalent


You will be required to comply with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland throughout your employment.


Hours of work are: 37 hours per week


The ability to work as part of our extended weekend service is essential to this post, as is the ability to travel across the locality.
