Job Advert

**This post is only open to current employees in NHS Scotland.**

Interested in taking on a high-profile role that will help drive improved outcomes and make a difference to the delivery of patient care across Scotland? Have a passion for supporting projects that could help us address the big challenges facing NHS Scotland?

The Centre for Sustainable Delivery (CfSD) has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Lead (Primary Care) as part of Accelerated National Innovation Adoption (ANIA) Pathway to provide professional expertise specific to the development, design and delivery of the Digital Diabetes Remission Programme. This ambitious Programme aims to register 3000 patients onto a digital diabetes remission pathway by 2028. The Programme has been developed in collaboration with clinical teams across Scotland and is supported by funding from the Scottish Government.

The successful candidate will currently be a registered healthcare professional working in a clinical role within Primary Care. You will be able to act authoritatively as a change agent, displaying the highest professional standards, with experience of working with executive and senior managers across NHS Scotland. Previous experience of diabetes remission programmes would be advantageous but not essential.

Each post is for three years and up to 0.2 WTE per week initially. Please note this requirement may reduce over the lifetime of the Programme. Roles will likely be aligned on a regional basis across Scotland to best support the implementation and deployment of the Digital Diabetes Remission Pathway.

This is a rare opportunity to engage in a high-profile area of work that requires passionate, motivated and value driven individuals who will confidently support the delivery of measurable improvements in care to patients across all of Scotland. If you like a challenge and are committed to supporting complex projects in partnership with a wide variety of stakeholders, then we want to hear from you.

For informal discussions, please contact: John Thomson, National Associate Clinical Director, john.thomson2@nhs.scot

To apply for the role please email your CV alongside a brief summary of your relevant experience and the skills that make you suitable for this role (500 words max) to gjnh.cfsdinnovationteam@gjnh.scot.nhs.uk
