We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse/ODP to join our Ophthalmology Perioperative Theatre Team at the National Treatment Centre - Highland (NTC).

About the Role: As a Senior Staff Nurse/ODP, you will play a key role within our dedicated Ophthalmology team. You will be responsible for scrubbing for all Ophthalmology specialities, providing high-quality care, and supporting the service to deliver best practice. With at least 3 years of scrub experience as a Band 5, your skills and expertise will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of care for our patients.

In addition to scrubbing duties, you will support senior team members and deputise in their absence, ensuring the smooth running of the theatre team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional looking to develop in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.

About the National Treatment Centre - Highland: The NTC-H is a new purpose-built centre that provides care for both Ophthalmology and Orthopaedic patients. Located within the University Campus of the City, the Centre boasts:

  • 5 theatres
  • A 24-bedded ward
  • Dedicated Ophthalmology Outpatient Department

We have 2.6 dedicated Ophthalmology theatres to support our patient care and services.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years scrub experience as a Band 5 in Ophthalmology
  • Strong commitment to delivering high standards of care and best practice
  • Ability to support the team and deputise in the absence of senior members
  • Ophthalmology experience is essential to succeed in this role
