Vacancies have arisen for Transport Department Bank Drivers based at NHS Highland Transport Department, Stadium Road, Inverness. Bank drivers are paid pro rata and utilised on an "as required" basis to meet ongoing increased demands within the department and cover periods of sickness and holidays. Candidates will be experienced transport drivers with a knowledge of statutory transport regulations, Health & Safety, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health, Road Risk and Moving and Handling Regulations. Candidates will be well organised and highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will enjoy interacting with both transport staff and customers and have a helpful and cheerful personality and have knowledge of the local and Highland geographical area. Candidates must hold both a current Drivers Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) along with a valid tachograph Digi card. A valid Driving Licence is required, which includes categories B+E and C1 .You must be able to drive vehicles up to and including 7.5 tonne Large Goods Vehicles. Duties will include delivering Laundry, Mail, Medical Equipment, Specimens and Stores to Hospitals, GP’s, Health Centres and Care Homes throughout the NHS Highland area.
