Practice Educator NHS Grampian (Band 6)

18.75 hrs per week (substantive post)

We are seeking a motivated, innovative registered nurse or midwife who is passionate about supporting learning in practice to join our team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a part time Band 6 Practice Educator within NHS Grampian on a substantive contract.

The post will be part of a small team supporting clinical teams that comprise the frailty service within Aberdeen City Health and Social Care partnership. Travel within Aberdeen city and sometimes across Grampian is required, the successful candidate/s should have a valid UK driving licence.

The post requires the development and maintenance of a learning environment where both education and lifelong learning are seen as integral to practice. The role aims to enhance the quality of the practice learning experience and positively contribute to the future nursing/midwifery workforce in line with local and national directives.

The successful post-holder will be a 1st level registered nurse or midwife with experience at Band 5 including supervising and assessing undergraduate nurses. Evidence of leadership skills and supporting others in practice is essential as are great communication skills. The successful candidate should be educated to degree level or equivalent.
