Are you passionate about infection prevention? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Infection Prevention and Control Nurse to join the NHS Fife Infection Prevention and Control Team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality care across NHS Fife and Care Homes in the region.

About the Role

In this rewarding position, you will play a vital role in promoting best practices in infection prevention and control across Fife Care Homes. You will provide specialist knowledge, guidance, outbreak management, surveillance, quality improvement, education and training, empowering colleagues to create a safe environment for Care Home residents, staff, and visitors.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from candidates with diverse experiences and backgrounds. To thrive in this role, you should:

  • Be a Registered Nurse with a current 1St Level NMC registration.
  • Hold or be working towards an Infection Prevention and Control Qualification (or be willing to undertake further study in this field).
  • Show commitment to continuous professional development, with evidence of post-registration study.
  • Have a broad range of clinical experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an inclusive approach that respects diverse perspectives, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and resilience.
  • Be able to travel between NHS Fife sites and Care Homes.
