Dundee Dental Hospital & Research School is seeking a dedicated professional for a (0.5WTE)
permanent appointment in the Oral Surgery department.
Located on the University of Dundee campus, just a short distance from the city centre, Dundee
Dental Hospital & Research School boasts five clinical floors with open clinics and closed surgeries,
equipped with 100 dental chairs. The hospital is closely linked to the Dundee Dental Education
Centre, which includes a Postgraduate Centre, a 38-place clinical skills laboratory, and various office
facilities.
The post holder will help deliver the diagnostic and advisory service to new patients referred to the
Oral Surgery service based at the Dental Hospital, ensuring that the referrer is provided with
appropriate advice and information regarding their patient’s treatment. The post holder will
undertake treatment sessions, some of which may include student teaching within the Dental
Hospital. She/he will share with honorary consultant colleagues and other clinical staff,
responsibility for the functioning of the service and the deployment of more junior staff.
Appropriate candidates for this post will hold full registration with the General Dental Council. They
will have experience and expertise in oral surgery with an ability to work collaboratively within a
multidisciplinary team
