Healthcare Improvement Scotland is seeking an exceptional leader for the role of Director of Nursing and Integrated Care. The postholder will be a vital member of the Executive Team, playing a key role in corporate governance, performance management, and the overall success of our organisation.

The Director will provide professional leadership for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals practice and ensure sound and up-to-date clinical advice is provided to the Healthcare Improvement Scotland Board, Executive Team and wider organisation.

The post-holder will oversee public protection, complaints and, in conjunction with the Medical Director, our framework for clinical and care governance. They will provide executive leadership for improvement support in primary care, community health services, and executive leadership for maternal healthcare as key priority areas.

Additionally, the Director will oversee a robust approach to monitoring compliance with the Health and Care Staffing Act, ensuring tools remain up-to-date and relevant to clinical practice.
