NHS Highland Wheelchair Service is looking to recruit a Rehabilitation Engineer, based at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.
Our Rehabilitation Engineers work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. We work with adults and children across the Highlands, Western Isles and Moray, providing, reconfiguring and repairing manual and powered wheelchairs, including postural support. We provide guidance and training to wheelchair users and their care teams, and to other health professionals.
The successful candidate will bring demonstrable experience working independently to provide a technical service. Relevant experience in medical and technical settings is desirable, but specialist training and ongoing support will be provided.
Although the post is based at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, the role involves meeting patients at other clinics, and in their homes, across NHS Highland and Western Isles. This will involve some planned overnight stays (approximately 1-2 nights per month).
