Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Dental Nurse at NHS Ayrshire & Arran- cross site.

What you will do:

As part of a multidisciplinary Team, you will have responsibility to provide an area wide service in specialist programmes of patient Care And Assessment of patients needs.

You will be required to carry out all the duties expected of a Specialist Dental Nurse within a busy out-patients department, assisting with various procedures within the Maxillofacial, Orthodontic and Restorative Dentistry setting.

You will also be required to provide full administrative assistance to the unit. This would include organizing of patient appointments, updating of spreadsheets, being able to navigate PMS to access patient files for accurate up-to-date information on referrals etc, maintaining appropriate stock supplies and the ordering of stock.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

Potential candidates must be registered with the General Dental Council and have evidence of CPD.

Must have previous experience within the specialties.

Have excellent communication, interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team is essential

Candidates must have a flexible approach within the working environment with good organisational, IT, and planning skills.

Knowledge of Ayrshire & Arran’s policies and procedures is desirable.
