2. A dentist appointed to this grade:
- shall be registered and have a Licence to Practice with the General Dental Council (GDC);
And
- shall have completed four years’ full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a less than full-time or flexible basis) since first obtaining registration, including adequate experience in the relevant specialty;
Or
- shall have equivalent training, experience or competencies, either in the UK or overseas.
Applications are welcome for the above Permanent/Fixed Term, Part time 22.5 hours per week post based in Wester Hailes All Living Centre
Duties and responsibilities:
Provide routine dental care for adults with a wide range of disability and special needs who cannot receive their care in General Dental Practice. This treatment includes treating patients under inhalation sedation, general anaesthetic and in a domiciliary setting.
Participate in appraisal and the quality improvement process.
Provide treatment to children and adults in the unscheduled dental care service as required.
Participate in the out of hours unscheduled dental rota
