We are seeking to recruit a pharmacist to join our well-established medicine clinical pharmacy team.
As an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be supported by advanced specialist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to deliver patient centred, safe and effective clinical pharmacy service to patients across a variety of settings such as cardiology, gastroenterology, respiratory, endocrinology, stroke and acute medicine. There will also be an opportunity to further your knowledge and experience in other clinical areas such as high dependency care. You will develop into an active participant in multidisciplinary and multi-professional teams working in a fully integrated manner to ensure best use of your pharmaceutical knowledge and skills.
This post offers an exciting opportunity for someone wanting to either develop their clinical skills and understanding of the care of this specialist group of patients, or to consolidate and further develop their existing knowledge and experience in this field. This is the ideal platform to gain up-to-date clinical, pharmacological and pharmaceutical knowledge to enrol on a non-medical prescribing qualification course. With the support of a sessional job plan, you will be provided with the chance to gain managerial and advanced clinical pharmacist role experience. This is an exciting and rewarding post with excellent support from the dedicated pharmacy team.
Applicants must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
The post holder will be required to contribute to the on-call, weekend and public holiday rotas as per service requirements.
Hours of work are: 37 Hours worked over a 7-day week. Fixed Term/Secondment for 12 Months.
