Applications are invited from trainees having at least recently completed Internal Medicine Training or equivalent to apply for the position of Locum Appointment for Training in Medicine of the Elderly within St John’s Hospital, Livingston (Lothian NHS).

This post is to commence August 2025 for 12 months. These posts will be paid in line with the pay and conditions of service remuneration of hospital medical and dental staff [NHS Circular: PCS(DD)2016/1].

Working within the Medical Unit at St John’s Hospital, these posts will give successful applicants the opportunity to experience MOE and Acute Medicine before committing to a programme of training through a Specialty application. These posts will offer successful applicants the opportunity to develop their clinical and professional competence in a purposeful and supervised manner as an assist to overall CV development.

The successful candidate will be working within the general medical unit.
