Applications are invited for a CT LAT within Mental Health Services.

This post is based at Royal Cornhill Hospital and will involve working within either General Adult Psychiatry or Older Adult Psychiatry under Consultant supervision.

Royal Cornhill Hospital is the main centre in the North East of Scotland for the care and treatment of people with severe Mental Health difficulties. It is also the main training centre for medical and nursing staff who work in Mental Health. The hospital is located close to the centre of Aberdeen and provides in-patient, community and emergency care.

You will join the Tier 1 on call rota providing Mental Health and Learning Disabilities cover in a busy hospital and associated sites, working within multi-disciplinary teams. The workload is varied and interesting with many opportunities to extend medical experience.

You will attend the weekly teaching programme during term time and engage with training opportunities based on the Core Psychiatry training curriculum.

The available post will be for 6 months from 6th August 2025 until 3rd February 2026.

The Postgraduate Dean confirms that this placement and / or programme has the required educational and Postgraduate Dean's approval.
