An opportunity has arisen for individuals to join our nursing team within the Surgical Admission Unit (SAU), Ninewells Hospital. All surgical specialities utilise this Unit for pre-operative patients and will care and support our surgical day cases post-operatively. This is primarily a nurse led unit.
You will work as part of the nursing team fulfilling the role of healthcare support worker, including general healthcare assistant duties, some clerical, administrative and housekeeping / infection control duties. You must be able to work independently, prioritising workload in an environment that is constantly changing. We are looking for someone who is organised, with excellent communication skills and able to work well within a small team environment. Familiarity with NHS systems such as TRAKCARE & PECOS would be beneficial. Caring experience would be an advantage.
You will be required to undertake any necessary training, to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for healthcare support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
This role is advertised as a seven-day working position however, due to current workforce constraints, the posts will primarily involve weekend shifts.
