An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Endoscopy Assistant Practitioner based at University Hospital Crosshouse.

What you will do:

You will be expected to function as an independent practitioner with support from a team of registered nurses. You will provide a person centred approach to care which is safe and effective for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. You will act as the patients advocate throughout the patients journey in endoscopy and assist with the continual assessment of the patients care needs.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You will have completed the relevant program with NES and experience of working within an endoscopy unit.

Successful completion of:-


Endoscopy Assistant Practitioner Programme

Educational Framework

NHS Academy - SCQF level 7 Healthcare (Clinical)


When in post:-

Current mandatory training (area and division specific)

Evidence of continuous professional development

Continual update of vocational portfolio

Annual review of competencies

Willingness to undertake further training as required by role
