Applications are invited for Clinical Development Fellow who have completed at least FY2 for the above posts.
These are 2 ten session posts; one based in the Renfrewshire HSCP and one in Northeast Glasgow of Older Adult Psychiatry.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team in Old Age Psychiatry in Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The successful applicant will play a prominent role in providing mostly community care and treatment for severe and enduring mental health conditions in the older adult supported by an enthusiastic CMHT and Consultant Psychiatrists. The Renfrewshire post is base at Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley and is mostly liaison old age psychiatry with additional opportunities to support acute psychiatric wards MDT and the North east post is mostly working in the community older adult CMHT. Opportunities for further training and development are strongly OFFICIAL OFFICIAL Vacancy Request Form (VRF) Approved January 2024 Page 3 of 10 encouraged. There is also an opportunity to be peripatetic during the 2 years around CMHTs in Greater Glasgow and Clyde. Ideally applicants would be doctors who have an interest in progressing a career in old age psychiatry or other psychiatric specialties and come with a broad general professional training including General Medicine or GP vocationally trained doctors who wish to gain further Older Adult Psychiatry experience. Applications will be considered for part-time working or as a job share opportunity.
There is no on-call or out of hours work associated with this post which is 9-5 Monday to Friday working out of the CMHT at Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley or The Parkhead Hub, Glasgow. To practice medicine in the UK you need to hold both GMC registration and a licence to practice
