ANNEX 21 (U)

*Please note this is a Trainee post, therefore Annex 21 applies*

For trainees covered by Annex 21 where the period of training lasts for between one and four years, pay will be as follows:

  • up to 12 months prior to completion of training: 75 per cent of the pay band maximum of the fully qualified rate.
  • more than one but less than two years prior to completion of training: 70 per cent of the pay band maximum of the qualified rate of the qualified.
  • more than two but less than three years prior to completion of training: 65 per cent of the pay band maximum for the qualified rate.
  • more than three years from completion of training: 60 per cent of the pay band maximum of the fully qualified rate.

Two Trainee/Advanced Nurse Practitioner Posts

Band 7

(Annex 21 applies if ANP training is required)

Full Time Permanent - 37 hours per week

1 vacancy for oncology SACT at the Western General Edinburgh

1 vacancy for haematology SACT at St John’s Hospital Livingston.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two suitably qualified and experienced nurses to join the Advanced Nurse Practitioner team in the Edinburgh Cancer Centre providing assessment, treatments and supportive therapies to oncology and haematology patients receiving Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT).

The successful applicants will be suitably qualified and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP) although consideration will be given to those with suitable oncology/ haematology SACT experience who are willing to undertake ANP training. Annex 21 will apply for these candidates with completion of the ANP training in an agreed timeframe.

SACT delivery is expanding year on year due to increasing numbers and increasing lines of treatment. These posts join established ANP teams on both sites and will support the ongoing expansion of our services.
