An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Dumfries & Galloway for General Radiographers to join our team and support in the provision of our 24/7 imaging service. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who have well developed people skills, who can work effectively and efficiently. We are a forward looking department who invest in staff training and are keen to develop our service, we would expect you to participate in staff development/training. You will be required to provide cover at the Dumfries/Stranraer sites, as per your availability.
Preference will be given to candidates who have proven experience in General with specialist experience in other areas viewed positively and who can demonstrate a sound working knowledge of clinical guidelines and safety standards within these areas.
NHS Dumfries & Galloway performs over 100,000 exams per year at sites in Dumfries and Stranraer, as part of this role you would be expected to participate in our extended working / 7 day service provision, there may be an on-call component to this role.
The Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary (DGRI) site opened in 2017 and as such has state of the art digital equipment. CT and DR equipment at Stranraer has been replaced in the last 5 years providing an environment with the latest technology which mirrors that at Dumfries.
We are part of the Scottish National PACS service and have recently upgraded to a PACS reporting set up.
We have both part-time and full-time hours available from 22.3hpw up to 37hpw - candidates should indicate clearly on application their preferred hours.
Candidates should have HCPC registration but we would welcome applications from students due to qualify and gain UK HCPC within the next 6 months.
