Enthusiastic untrained nurses with an aptitude to learn and develop themselves are invited to join the North Theatre department within Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Stobhill ACH.
These posts provide an opportunity for HCSW to further their career after an internal programme to then go through an educational pathway with SVQ and clinical supervision that may lead to becoming a scrub assistant (Band 4) or perhaps supported through general training or scrub practitioner training within identified Further Education institutes.
You will have the chance to work with this patient group and the opportunity to work alongside and be supported by experienced nurses, clinical nurse specialists and the wider multi-disciplinary team to provide essential training.

The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to plan and prioritise workload efficiently, the skill to deliver a high standard of quality care and the ability to further your personal development.
NHS experience is desirable however if evidence of further development is noted in your application you will be considered.
The shift pattern is initially day shift – 4 shifts Monday to Friday however an expectancy to be able to be fully rotational 7 days/nights is essential during orientation and training period.
