We are seeking to recruit a Nursery Nurse to work within the Children and Families team in the Lochgilphead area.

The post is 29.6 hrs hrs worked over 4 days and is offered on a fixed term basis for one year.

The postholder will provide Nursery Nurse support on child development and respond to individual and family needs in a variety of settings.Postholder will require to meet the physical,social and developmental health needs of children and their families as identified by individual family health plans .

The post requires the following qualifications SVQ3 in Health & Social Care, NNEB or HNC in Childcare and a minimum of 2 years experience in a childcare setting.

Sound knowledge of child development and a good level of literacy & numeracy.

You must be able to work with children with ability & willingness to undertake further formal study.


You should have knowledge of GIRFEC.

In addition you will be required to work on your own initiative and work well as part of a team.

IT skills are required– e-mail, basic word processing, ability to search inter and intranet

In addition you should have a good level of physical health and stamina, large and fine motor fitness and dexterity

Car driver essential for this post and a car owner advantageous.
