This post is only open to current NHSGGC employees - Internal applications only

Due to recent restructuring within the Diabetes and Endocrine services, we have an exciting opportunity for an advanced clinical pharmacist to join the Clinical Pharmacy team and work within the Medical Specialities in NHS Clyde.

Pharmacy Lead Comments - Band 8a role/responsibilities

The focus of both posts will be to provide specialist clinical pharmacy support to the services. This will include running pharmacist led clinics reviewing new patients, providing clinical assessments, diagnosis and treatment plans.

You will contribute to the monitoring and development of prescribing protocols for existing and newly introduced high-cost medicines and contribute to auditing data collection and research within the specialty. This post will require a committed individual with excellent communication, multi-disciplinary team-working and time management skills to ensure the delivery of both patient-centered pharmaceutical care and delivery of cost-effective prescribing strategies for NHS Clyde. You should be registered with the GPhC, hold a post-graduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent and be a registered independent pharmacist prescriber.
