We are actively involved in achieving Scottish Stroke care standards and have monthly exception report meetings. We support some island and district general hospitals with Telestroke clinics and Telethrombolysis/Thrombectomy. There are daily Neurovascular clinics Monday-Friday. We have an active research Stroke department headed by Prof Mary-Joan MacLeod and supported by 3 research nurses. We have good links with Neurology, Cardiology and Geriatrics departments.
