This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn in a Modern Apprenticeship leading to a healthcare career as a Pharmacy Support Worker. You will study, train and work as a Pharmacy Support Worker as part of our Pharmacy team based at Caithness General Hospital in Wick.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our pharmacy team and you will have the opportunity to work closely with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists.

You will be required to work through a structured training programme towards achieving the SVQ Pharmacy Services qualification at SCQF Level 6 to meet the General Pharmaceutical Councils minimum training requirements for the role.

You will need to be enthusiastic with strong interpersonal and organisational abilities, good communication skills and a strong team work ethic. You must also demonstrate in your application that you possess good written communication skills, and are hard working with good attention to detail. You will need to be flexible in your approach and committed to completing the training programme.

Applicants must have achieved 3 National 4 qualifications (or SCQF equivalent) which must include English, Maths and a Science subject as a minimum.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support workers in Scotland and to comply with the code of conduct throughout your employment.

This is a full-time permanent post of 37 hours per week, to be worked in accordance with service requirements. You will also be required to participate in departmental rotas for late opening and public holidays.
