Working at a senior level, lead specialist on emergency and business continuity planning in Aberdeenshire Health & Social Care Partnership (AHSCP), working in close partnership with the designated Senior Management lead for Civil Contingencies, the Strategy & Transformation Manager and all staff and areas within the AHSCP.
Provide expertise to the IJB and AHSCP in its role as a Category 1 responder, to build resilience and help meet the challenges of compliance with the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 (CCA), other relevant legislation and Scottish Government (and other) guidance.
Lead on the effective implementation of emergency and business continuity planning in all areas and at all levels of AHSCP and with Aberdeenshire Council and NHSG. Ensuring adequate arrangements for assessment, prevention, preparedness, response and recovery, essential health and care needs in Aberdeenshire are met when normal services become overloaded, restricted or non-operational for whatever reason including: major incidents within the community that will, or have the potential to, impact on human health; large communicable disease outbreaks; interruption or failure of critical service and infrastructure support functions; deliberate acts (of terrorism).
The post will be expected on occasion to work outwith normal working hours depending on the nature of resilience incidents.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
