This is a permanent post working 40 hours per week.

Applications are invited from motivated and suitably qualified paediatric surgeons who wish to join our team at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. We are primarily seeking to appoint a Consultant Paediatric and Neonatal Surgeon with an interest in Urology who will support the department’s elective urology activities and join the on-call rota for acute general paediatric surgery. The successful candidate will be expected to support surgical outreach services across the West of Scotland. As part of the wider Urology team the successful candidate would also be expected to cover the renal transplantation rota.

Applicants are required to hold FRCS (Paeds) of the Intercollegiate Board in Paediatric Surgery, have full GMC registration, a licence to practice and must be eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
