Band 7 Therapeutic Radiographer Quality Manager

This exciting post has responsibilities for both quality management and clinical service delivery.

It includes leading a positive staff quality culture, growing audit and ensuring best practice is supported by appropriate documentation, in line with external relevant standards. It also ensures the service is proactive in learning internally and proactively contributes to the national radiotherapy error reporting trend analysis.

You need to be clinically experienced in radiotherapy and an innovative thinker, interested in continuing to develop staff in this important aspect of radiotherapy service quality management.

Our Department has:

  • 2 Varian Ethos
  • 1 Varian Truebeam
  • Cannon CT Simulator
  • HDR brachytherapy with a purpose built theatre facility
  • New! Surface-guided radiotherapy, pilot phase started!
  • New! Varian Truebeam with 6DoF couch & Hypersight implemented!


Radiographer-led:

  • Adaptors
  • Breast simulation sessions
  • Image review
  • On-treatment Review Clinic

  • Clinical service development, with significant Adaptive and SABR (lung & Oligomets) experience.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
