Job Advert
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am – 5.00pm. Flexibility is essential, as evening and weekend work may be required to meet service needs and support recovery-focused activities.
Renfrewshire HSCP is responsible for delivering a high-quality, outcome-focused Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service. As part of our commitment to implementing the recommendations from the recent strategic review, we are recruiting Band 3 Recovery Workers to join our multidisciplinary team.
These posts are essential in promoting recovery principles across Renfrewshire ADRS and the wider partnership. Recovery Workers will provide person-centred support to individuals affected by mental health and/or substance use, helping them to identify, plan and achieve their recovery goals. The role focuses on the potential for lifelong recovery and personal growth and will be instrumental in enhancing Recovery Orientated Systems of Care in Renfrewshire.
Successful candidates will bring lived experience of recovery and use their insight to build supportive relationships, promote resilience, and encourage engagement with peer-led activities and community resources. You will work within the CIRCLE (Continuing in Recovery Changes Lives Entirely) team, contributing to the development and delivery of recovery-focused programmes and group work.
This is a unique opportunity to influence recovery-focused practice across ADRS and partner organisations, while maintaining your own recovery journey and supporting others to do the same.
