HCSW - Elective Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Unit,

Woodend Hospital

Band 3

18.5 hrs/week –permanent post

Are you an experienced health care support worker with experience of working in a therapy department or a rehab setting? Are you currently working in a ward or other care setting and looking for a new challenge? Are you motivated to develop new skills and willing to take on new roles?

This post will be within our physiotherapy team supporting services within the elective orthopaedic unit. This is a dynamic and busy team and the role will support and assist the physiotherapy staff in carrying out their daily treatments and assessments. The post will vary day to day and will include patient handling, administrative duties and communicating with family and extended multidisciplinary team.

Our department proactively supports our staff to develop and some of our HCSWs have undertaken their SVQs.

This post will primarily work weekdays however as NHS Grampian physiotherapy team is proactively working towards services over 7 days as part of changes to the Acute services, the post holder may be required to work 5/7.

Training will be given to the successful candidate as required based on their previous experience.
