The Role
South Lanarkshire ADP is preparing to support the development of 4 community trauma informed recovery focused treatment and care service hubs in its 4 localities. The focus of these hubs is to provide a faster response to individuals in need, to provide earlier intervention, and the delivery of a more “bottom up” approach providing more involvement with people with lived experience as peer mentors and recovery champions. The role of the hub coordinator will be to serve as an accelerator to the process and work in tandem with the host organisation in the delivery of recovery, care and treatment activities.
The purpose of the hub coordinator is to act as a conduit between the existing Alcohol Drug Partnership support team and the host organisation. The post holder (s) will be the visible link and support provided by the south Lanarkshire ADP ensuring that all activities delivered are in alignment with the S/L ADP strategy and that all activities delivered within hubs complement and are complemented by existing statutory and third sector services in relation to the ethos of recovery and providing care, support and treatment of people with problematic alcohol and substance use and their families.
This post is essential for promoting, recruiting, developing and leading peer supporters and recovery volunteer, The post holder will contribute to bridge the existing volunteers’ networks of recovery activists within local communities and service providers.
*This is a fixed term post for a duration of 24 months.*
In this key role, you will:
- The post holder(s) will take a lead role in coordinating and managing recovery initiatives efficiently and effectively and provide a support role to the host organisation in the management and operational requirements of the initiatives particularly that of recruiting and developing peer supporters and recovery volunteers.
- The post holder(s) will support the host organisation to address the gaps and barriers to the provision and delivery of a psychologically informed environment and the promotion of a relationship based service with more facilitation of choices for individuals and families seeking care, support and /or treatment.
- The post holder(s) will support the host organisation in the implementation of the hubs working collaboratively to ensure that relevant services/support are available within the hubs

From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part-time working hours will be reduced on a pro-rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
