The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday 9-5 / 9-4:30.

This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced or newly qualified Cardiac Physiologist to work within an efficient and motivated Cardiac Physiology Service as a Band 6 Senior cardiac physiologist. We are a team of highly skilled and professional Cardiac Physiologists and assistants who cross-site work in Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Stobhill hospital. The service encourages and promotes teaching and development. The post holder will work independently within the ETT and TILT service and provide support to the device service.

The post holder will be responsible for assisting the Cardiologist in the pacemaker implantation theatre and providing support to pacemaker patients required to attend MRI and the physiology led ILR service.

There will be training opportunities within Echocardiography and advanced device follow up.

This role will play an essential part in supporting the department and the cardiac physiology manager ensuring mandatory health and safety and infection control protocols, procedures and audits are completed within a timely manner.

This role will involve mentoring, teaching and the supervision of the cardiac physiology assistants and trainee physiologists undergoing completion of assessments and logbooks.
