Medicine for the Elderly

Ward Assistant
Salary Scale: £25,694 - £27,900 pro rata
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Medicine for the Elderly Unit working within Ward 33 for an individual to join our team as a part time ward assistant.
Duties will include Administration duties and ordering of supplies. Answering phones and dealing with the public on a daily basis and carrying out general tasks to ensure a smooth and effective ward flow. Working closely with the Senior Nursing and Medical team would be expected, good communication is essential. Knowledge of Computer systems used within NHS Scotland would be beneficial but not essential as training would be given.
You will be required to comply with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland throughout your employment.
Hours of work are: 22.5 hours per week. Working:- Monday, Thursday and Friday day, covering periods of annual leave when required.
