As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. Applications are invited from individuals with an interest in working in a hospital laboratory environment. Candidates should have an enthusiastic and flexible attitude to work. Candidates should be Educated to SCQF level 7 e.g. HNC; SVQ 3; Personal Development Award; Modern Apprenticeship; IBMS Certificate of Achievement Part 1
The successful candidate will be required to perform a range of laboratory duties in support of the delivery of the clinical services. It is essential that the successful candidate has proven knowledge and application of IT skills. The duties will include equipment maintenance, stock control, general housekeeping, and manual handling tasks. Knowledge of anatomy would be desirable.
This post is permanent at 37 hours per week.
