The Role

We are recruiting highly motivated, enthusiastic and professional undergraduate pharmacy students who are able to work on summer placement out with term time, to meet the needs of the service.

We have a number of placements available. You will have an opportunity work with our pharmacy teams to provide high quality care in either Acute (Hospital) or Primary Care (GP Practices). You will also have the chance to support project work. This is a fixed term Summer Placement post between 6-8 weeks.

What You'll Bring:

  • This post is only open to students on accredited MPharm programmes and will be studying towards SCQF Level 11 (SVQ level 5 equivalent).
  • Candidates must currently be undertaking a Masters of Pharmacy (MPharm) degree programme at a university in the United Kingdom.
  • Willingness to contribute to the general working of the pharmacy department
  • Ability to work weekends and Public Holidays
  • A driving licence is required for Primary Care community post; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part-time working hours will be reduced on a pro-rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
