As the clinical lead for pre‑operative assessment, you will:
- Drive service excellence by embedding evidence‑based practice, continuous quality improvement, and patient safety at every stage of the surgical journey.
- Influence and innovate, acting as a change agent to shape policy, strategy, and the future of pre‑operative services.
- Empower patients by coordinating their journey from assessment to discharge, ensuring they are optimised and supported for surgery.
- Inspire colleagues through mentorship, education, and role‑modelling advanced clinical practice.
What we’re looking for
We want a leader who combines clinical expertise with vision and influence. You will bring:
- First level registration and extensive post‑registration experience.
- Degree‑level education plus qualifications in Clinical Skills Assessment and Non‑Medical Prescribing.(Or working towards)
- Proven ability to make autonomous, complex clinical decisions and lead nurse‑led services.
- Strong communication, management, and mentoring skills to build a high‑functioning team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and alignment with our organisational values.
