This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic registered Nurse / ODP to join our Anaesthetic team within the Golden Jubilee National Hospital as a Band 6 Charge Nurse / ODP. We are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated individual to step into a vital leadership role.

You will have experience in Anaesthetics and the peri-operative environment.

We currently have 20 Theatres, and perform elective surgery 6 days per week with an on call service out of hours. We rotate throughout all specialities including Cardiac, Thoracic, Colorectal, General, Orthopaedic and Cardiology.

Within this role, you will act as a clinical role model, providing expert support while helping to lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team. You will support the Senior Charge Nurse (SCN) in managing Theatre lists and driving clinical governance and ensuring high standards of patient safety.

There is an opportunity for further learning and development within this role, with in-house development courses on offer. Our clinical education team is on hand to provide support, from staff induction to delivering monthly education days.

The role requires flexible working over 7 days and covering on call rotas overnight and at weekends. There is also the exciting opportunity to become part of the National Organ Retrieval Service.
