Multiple Sclerosis Specialist Nurse

The Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Nursing Service within Health and Social Care Moray requires an innovative nurse who is ready for the challenge of providing a high standard of care to those diagnosed with MS in the Moray area.
The MS Nurses work with the multidisciplinary team to provide expert assessment, education, support and symptom management to patients at all stages of the condition from diagnosis onwards.
The post is based in Elgin and requires the post holder to travel between various hospital, home and community settings. You will with another MS Nurse to form the resource for Moray, to implement care pathways for patients with MS. You will also be required to work autonomously and develop expert liaison between acute, primary care and rehabilitation settings. The post holder will be supported by the neurological team including the neurological consultant, based in Aberdeen.
You will demonstrate competence equivalent to significant post registration nursing experience. You will also be educated to, and work to, post graduate diploma level. You will also be required to complete a portfolio of work in line with NMC guidance for continued professional development. The post holder should be ready for the challenge of learning a new specialty and appreciate the training responsibilities of the role.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
