Applications are invited for the post of Community Learning Disability Team Lead in the Learning Disability Additional Support Team (AST) based at the Red Lodge, Larbert. This band 7 post is a part-time permanent post of 30 hours per week for a highly motivated and experienced RNLD.

The Learning Disability service are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Band 7 Team Manager to lead our community based Crisis and part-forensic service, the Additional Support Team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care to people with Learning Disabilities who present in crisis. Experience in forensic issues and crisis intervention would be advantageous. The post holder will be accountable to the Learning Disability, Clinical Nurse Manager.

The ideal candidate will have a strong, visible, and accessible leadership style, with the ability to manage change and deliver operational performance in line with national standards. The post holder will work in partnership to promote care planning and risk management for people with Learning Disabilities who may offend, enabling inclusion and choice, independence and rights within legal frameworks. They will carry a caseload both within the forensic and crisis specialities within the Additional Support Team. Evidence of experience and/or professional development in leadership and collaborative working is essential.

Registered as a Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) is essential qualification for this post, and knowledge of policy trends and legislation within learning disabilities health and social care required.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
