The Role

To ensure the efficient and effective running of the Management offices by providing a comprehensive personal secretarial/administrative support service, including secretarial support, diary management, organising meetings and various other duties over the whole range of responsibilities.

In this key role, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive, high-level secretarial/administrative assistance to the Manager to ensure smooth and effective running of the office to meet all deadlines.
  • Type department documentation, e.g. letters, minutes, memos, powerpoint presentations, mail shots, reports, excel spreadsheets.
  • Manage diary commitments and schedule meetings at Director/Divisional Management Team/Hospital Management Team level, to ensure effective time management for the Manager. To organise venues, conference equipment and catering as required.
  • Manage the managers e-mail system, e.g. prioritising urgent information that needs to be dealt with and passed on to relevant Managers.

What You'll Bring

  • HNC/SVQIII in Secretarial Studies/ Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • Experience as a Management Secretary
  • Proficient in the use of Software systems
  • Advanced keyboard skills

From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part-time working hours will be reduced on a pro-rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
